my main concern was: is the serial number "registered", or automatically directly transmitted to ahead, when someone enters it into Nero? if that is indeed so, then if anyone steals my number and uses it, i autmoatically get screwed. supposing someone steals my serial number (not an impossible scenario), i would assume they weren't stupid enough to "register" it with Ahead (by email as you explain).ģ. my serial number is registered, as i bought it from Ahead's website. well, on the website it's stated (if i'm not mistaken) that if i lose my serial number that's it, i can't get it back from ahead.Ģ. it appears as if you (ahead) keeps a database of the serial numbers. Thanks for the clarification, but i still have a few questions.ġ. If two users register the same Serial key, it then becomes 'Black Listed' in all future version releases of Nero. For those who purchase Nero in the Retail Store, or bundled with a Recorder, they would need to send an Email to our sales team requesting to register their product. Any version purchased via our Nero WebSite is automatically registered.
